Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026. How Merrowdain respects your privacy and manages browser data.
1. Overview and Core Philosophy
Merrowdain (merrowdain.online) is built with a privacy-by-design approach. We believe that planning intimate and meaningful moments with your partner should remain entirely your own. This website operates as a client-side front-end application and does not transmit your personal date plans or favorites to a central server database.
2. Data Stored in Browser Local Storage
To provide a seamless planning experience without requiring mandatory account creation or logins, Merrowdain
utilizes your web browser's standard localStorage API. The following information is stored
directly on your personal device:
- Favorite Date Ideas: An array of date idea identifiers that you choose to save using the favorite heart control.
- Custom Date Plans: Custom itineraries you build, including activity titles, estimated durations, checklist items, completion status, and personal notes.
- Demonstration Submissions: Contact form entries and newsletter signups submitted during demonstration interactions are held only in local browser memory.
- Interface Preferences: Dismissed banners and interface status states.
3. Third-Party Analytics and External Trackers
Merrowdain does not employ third-party behavioral analytics, ad-tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies. Iconography and fonts are hosted locally within the website directory, preventing third-party content distribution networks from tracking your browsing activity on merrowdain.online.
4. User Control and Data Retention
Because all data is stored on your local device, you maintain full control over your information at all times:
- You can delete individual date plans or remove favorite ideas directly through the My Dates workspace.
- You can permanently purge all stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data, cache, and cookies for merrowdain.online.
5. Security Limitations of Client-Side Storage
Please note that browser localStorage is specific to the particular device, browser profile, and
computer you use. It does not synchronize automatically across different devices or separate browser
installations. Furthermore, any person with administrative or physical access to your device and browser
profile may view items stored in browser memory. We advise against writing sensitive personal passwords or
confidential data inside personal plan notes.
